2009 Award

The award will be given for points accumulated at the following shows:
2008 Moonwalker Memorial Horse Show,
2009 East Texas Gaited Classic Region 6 Championship Horse Show
2009 Gaited Gala Horse Show
Participants must register in order to compete for
the Dub Ivins Texas Rails Exhibitor Award.
 

After spending his life preparing gaited horses and their owners for the show ring, Dub Ivins, would like to encourage youth and amateur adult riders to continue the tradition he loves so well.

This award program is structured to promote the sound, English show horse. Competitors for the award must be members of the NWHA and will compete at three shows in Texas: The Moonwalker Memorial Show, The East Texas Gaited Classic, and The Gaited Gala. The competition will be completed each year at the Gaited Gala, where the trophy will be presented. In addition to the trophy, the recipient will have a donation to the NWHA made in his/her honor. The winner will be recognized on the NWHA website, the Gaited Gala website and the Happy Hill Stable website.

Points will go with the rider and will accrue in the following classes:

Tennessee walking horses, English open and amateur
TP 2 gait LS 2 gait PP 2 gait
TP 3 gait LS 3 gait PP 3 gait
UMH mountain horse, open, amateur, and juvenile
CTP TP Classic

Participants will register with the show management
to become eligible to compete.

A High-Point Trophy will be given at the
2009 Gaited Gala Horse Show in Athens, TX.

The award will be given for points accumulated at the following shows:

• 2009 Gaited Gala Horse Show

Participants must register in order to compete for
the Dub Ivins Texas Rails Exhibitor Award.

The award will be presented to the amateur adult or youth rider
who earns the most points in the following English rail classes:

We will present one award at the end of the season.
The recipient will receive a trophy and a donation will be made to NWHA in their honor.

Points will be tracked on the rider, not the horse.
The rider must sign up for their classes before the show for their points to count.
